Sugar Bear Care
|
|
|
| |
|
| |
Pocket Sugar Bears are fun
and loving creatures that can make the perfect little
pets. However, as is the case with any living creatures,
they too can occasionally get sick. It is your duty to
keep your pocket Sugar Bears healthy, but do not worry
too much as it is not a difficult task. Sugar Bears do
not carry any diseases, so if you are patient and
diligent, they will not cause you any trouble. The most
important consideration in keeping your pocket Sugar Bears healthy is to give them enough fluids and
warmth.
First, you need to make sure that your pocket Sugar Bears do not get dehydrated. Fluids are important for
them, so remember to put a bowl of fresh water in their
cage. Change the water every few hours. The main problem
with your Sugar Bears is that they are not clever enough to
find water sources, so it is your job to make sure they
can find water easily. You can also give your pocket
Sugar Bears fruits and juices for additional fluids.
Apples are a good source of fluids. Cut them up into
little pieces and put them where your pocket Sugar Bears can find them easily.
The second key to keeping your pocket Sugar Bears
healthy is to make sure they live in an area that is
warm. Pocket Sugar Bears need a living temperature of
around 80 to 85 degree Fahrenheit.
Sometimes, however, your Sugar Bears cannot generate enough
heat to stay warm. If this happens, the best way to
quickly increase their temperature is by snuggling them
against your body. Not only will your pocket Sugar Bears absorb your body temperature, they will also
love snuggling close to you. However, you need to
remember that they are small creatures and can get hurt
easily, so you should not hug them too tightly.
