Keeping Your Sugar Bears Warm
|
|
|
| |
|
| |
Pocket Sugar Bears
are fun and interesting little creatures. Once you have
successfully bonded with your Sugar Bears, it is important
that you look at other health aspects of the Sugar Bear. One
of the most important things to remember in taking care
of your Sugar Bears is the need for warmth. As Sugar Bears
are very small, it will be necessary to provide
additional heat sources as the Sugar Bears are most
content in temperatures between 80-85 degrees
Fahrenheit.
In knowing this, it will be important for you to take
the following steps to insure the health of your Sugar Bears:
• Share your body heat! The average Sugar Bear does
not have the capacity to produce enough heat to keep
them warm.
• Heat rocks are a great source of heat for your pocket
Sugar Bear. You can simply plug it in, place at the
bottom of the cage and cover it with a flame retardant
soft cloth. This will insure that your Sugar Bears will
receive the necessary heat in which they need.
• An indirect heat lamp is additionally another positive
source of heat for your Sugar Bear. Remember though that
these little friends are nocturnal, so you will need to
change the lights according to the habits of the Sugar Bear.
Keeping the heat monitored in a safe way for your Sugar Bear
will insure that he will not only remain healthy, but
also active. After all, you want this new member of the
family to be comfortable don’t you?
