Pocket Sugar Bears are fun and interesting little creatures. Once you have successfully bonded with your Sugar Bears, it is important that you look at other health aspects of the Sugar Bear. One of the most important things to remember in taking care of your Sugar Bears is the need for warmth. As Sugar Bears are very small, it will be necessary to provide additional heat sources as the Sugar Bears are most content in temperatures between 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit.

In knowing this, it will be important for you to take the following steps to insure the health of your Sugar Bears:

• Share your body heat! The average Sugar Bear does not have the capacity to produce enough heat to keep them warm.
• Heat rocks are a great source of heat for your pocket Sugar Bear. You can simply plug it in, place at the bottom of the cage and cover it with a flame retardant soft cloth. This will insure that your Sugar Bears will receive the necessary heat in which they need.
• An indirect heat lamp is additionally another positive source of heat for your Sugar Bear. Remember though that these little friends are nocturnal, so you will need to
change the lights according to the habits of the Sugar Bear.

Keeping the heat monitored in a safe way for your Sugar Bear will insure that he will not only remain healthy, but also active. After all, you want this new member of the family to be comfortable don’t you?
